I'm so excited to finally offer a workshop in the Seattle area! This intensive 2-day class will take place in Redmond (15 minutes east of Seattle). It will cover many doll-making techniques and design details. We will create a 13” doll and learn how to construct a head using rolling and needle-felting techniques, stuff the body with wool and attach body parts, add a belly button, knees, and a little bum, and finally, make/crochet a mohair wig.
All materials (including a pattern for the doll, pre-sewn body from beautiful Swiss skin fabric, sweet-smelling sheep wool and mohair yarn for hair), as well as tea/coffee, will be provided.
The workshop will run from 10 to 6 PM on both days with a short break.
Suitable for beginners in doll making but must have basic hand sewing and crochet skills.
The total cost - $450. (This listing is for a non-refundable deposit with the remainder payable by March 16th, 2019. )
Upon receipt of your deposit, I will email you all the information you may need about what to bring, where to find the studio and a page where you can select skin, eye and hair color.
If you cancel a class, you will receive a refund of any workshop fees paid minus the non-refundable Deposit. I can not be held liable or responsible for any other fees or costs incurred by you for the purpose of attending a class, including but not limited to travel or lodging fees.
